Qualification requirements

Before entries open, check whether your cat meets the qualification requirements for the FIFe World Show.

Where a qualification is required, it must be earned during the 13 months before the World Show.

Who may participate

The World Show is open to cats of fully recognised FIFe breeds and varieties, and to house cats, belonging to individual FIFe members.

Classes 1–6

Adults & neuters

No additional qualification is needed. Cats with the title International Champion, International Premior or higher are automatically qualified.

Classes 7–10

Adults & neuters

Meet at least one of the following:

  • 3× Excellent 1 in classes 11–12
  • 1× Best in Variety in classes 7–12
  • 1× Nomination for Best in Show in classes 7–12

For classes 8 and 10, cats with the title International Champion or higher are automatically qualified.

Class 11

Juniors

Meet at least one of the following:

  • 3× Excellent 1 in classes 11–12
  • 1× Best in Variety in classes 11–12
  • 1× Nomination for Best in Show in classes 11–12

Class 12

Kittens

No qualification is needed.

Class 14

House cats

1× Nomination for Best in Show house cats is required. House cats holding the Distinguished Show Merit (DSM) title are automatically qualified.
